MULTI-EMPLOYER CONTRACT
If you work for an outside plant, telecommunications / CATV contractor, you could be classed as a multi-employer employee.
NECA, the National Electrical Contractor's Association is the "umbrella" body that negotiates and administers this contract from the employer's perspective.
The Union which is made up of everyday workers negotiates and administers
the contract. It is the Union's job to preserve the integrity of the contract and act in the best interests of all the workers.

Our Outside telephone jurisdiction has been split at the Columbia river, giving jurisdiction in Oregon and northern California for outside telephone construction to IBEW Local 659 in Central Point, Oregon. This has no affect on Verizon, Century Tel., or Frontier Tel. employees representation.
